Dear Baby,

I wish I could tell you right now that I’m so happy to hear of your tiny existence and that I can’t wait to meet you. You deserve that. But you caught me and your daddy a little off guard, and we’re not quite at the celebrating stage. I’ll take it one day at a time though, and maybe once we get a little better acquainted (which I guess we will!), I can be prepared to offer you a proper welcome.
